Bank of England drops stablecoin holding limits, sets £40 billion issuer cap
The Bank of England has softened its proposed rules for systemic sterling stablecoins by scrapping individual holding limits. It plans to replace them with a temporary £40 billion issuance cap per systemic issuer and to allow looser treatment of reserves.
