Five former Ethereum Foundation researchers have launched Ethlabs, an independent nonprofit R&D group backed by Ethereum co-founder Joe Lubin and major ETH treasury firms. The move signals that some core Ethereum research is shifting into independently funded organizations outside the Ethereum Foundation. The shift could influence how Ethereum evolves as more institutional capital moves on-chain.

Axie Infinity’s AXS pulled back after sellers emerged around $1.25, with the token trading at $1.03 at press time, down 12.3% over the last 24 hours. Trading volume rose 67.3% to $71.34 million, indicating activity stayed elevated during the decline. Buyer-dominant spot order flow and falling exchange reserves remained supportive, according to CryptoQuant analytics.

At current staking levels, the proposal could divert as much as 76,000 ETH ($131. 6 million) to ecosystem development. The estimate is based on existing staking participation and projected reward rates.

Solana has climbed back above $70, but technical signals on shorter timeframes are turning cautious as the token approaches resistance near $75. The TD Sequential has flashed a sell signal on the 4-hour chart, pointing to the risk of a minor pullback. Even so, Solana spot ETF flows and on-chain activity have remained strong, suggesting demand has not faded.

XRP traded largely sideways Monday as the broader crypto market showed signs of hesitation and fading momentum. Data cited by analyst Ali Martinez, based on Santiment metrics, showed XRP network activity falling by nearly 50% over the past two weeks. Active addresses declined from 50,000 to around 25,000 over the same period.

Large XRP holders have cut transfers to Binance, a key venue for the token’s liquidity, suggesting selling pressure may be easing. Data shows both Whale Flow and Whale Transactions at 417, indicating whales are not moving sizable amounts to the exchange. Even so, analysts say XRP needs to move back above the McGinley Dynamic—around $1.15 to $1.16—to underpin a stronger recovery, according to CryptoQuant.

Most ETFs struggle to sustain steady inflows even for a few weeks after launch. Bitwise’s XRP ETF has recorded net inflows on 149 of 151 trading days since debut, a 98.7% positive flow rate over more than seven months.

Stellar’s XLM is close to printing its first major golden cross of 2026 if the signal is confirmed. On the daily chart, the 50-day moving average has touched the 200-day moving average, and traders are watching for a crossover.
